Great Canadian Casinos is recruiting for a qualified individual to fill the position of full time Security Supervisor for our Hard Rock Casino located in Coquitlam. In this role, you will be responsible for providing effective shift supervision and direction.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
    •Providing input for team member performance objectives and evaluations •Mentoring, coaching, and training front-line security team members •Monitoring, documenting, and preparing statements/reports on internal and external violations, unsafe conditions, potential hazards, suspicious persons and activities •Enrolling guests into the Self-Exclusion Program •Conducting regular patrols of the entire property as directed; identifying risks and conditions that present safety issues •Providing or assisting with First Aid for team members and guests •Responding to, resolving, or escalating security issues •Escorting guests and team members or assigning escort duties as required •Overseeing crowd control for special events •Liaising and communicating effectively with all appropriate operational departments •Developing and cultivating strong working relationships with all stakeholders (guests, ownership and team members) •Ensuring compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations •Performing other duties as assigned or directed


QUALIFICATIONS:

    •Legendary guest service skills with a "Make it Happen" attitude •Understanding of yourself as well as others when communicating with team members and guests •A passion for providing Rockin' It Service to our internal guests in the quest of achieving service excellence •Live HRCV's Values all day, every day: Respect, Original, Caring, Kickin' Service, Integrity and No Excuses •High School Diploma •Previous security experience an asset but not required •Occupational First Aid Level 2 an asset but not required •Can understand, speak and write English; fluency in other languages is an asset •Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills •Serving It Right Certification or the ability to obtain a Serving It Right Certificate •The ability to successfully obtain a criminal record check through the Gaming Policy and Enforcement Branch (GPEB)


Since the party never stops at Hard Rock Casino Vancouver, you must be ready and willing to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays and graveyards. The hours of work will be based on guest and business needs.
