Job Skills / Requirements

Job Summary:
The Airport Supervisor oversees daily security operations, ensuring compliance with safety protocols, effective team management, and prompt response to emergencies. This role involves supervising the security staff, managing access control, and handling operational duties.

Key Responsibilities:


•Lead and manage the Airport Security team, providing guidance and support.
•Respond to emergencies, managing crowd control and vehicle/pedestrian traffic.
•Oversee the handling of unattended baggage and security breaches.
•Ensure proper access control to restricted areas and manage temporary passes.
•Supervise Lost and Found services and lock/unlock the facility during graveyard shifts.
•Report incidents and maintain clear communication with management.
Qualifications:


•Experience in airport security or related field.
•Strong leadership and decision-making skills.
•Knowledge of safety/security protocols.
•Ability to handle emergencies calmly and efficiently.
•Preference will be given to candidates with RAIC clearance.
•Candidates without RAIC clearance will join as casual officers until they obtain clearance.
•If you have been a resident of Canada for 5 years or more, the process of obtaining RAIC is quicker.

Education Requirements (Any)

Certificate Diploma or Bachelors Degree in Occupational Health and Safety (or related) field

Certification Requirements (All)

Valid BC Security Licence
Valid Class 5 BC Drivers License
OFA I
