We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee Security Services at Victoria International Airport (YYJ). The Site Manager is responsible for the overall delivery of security services to the Victoria Airport Authority, ensuring operational excellence and compliance with regulatory, contractual, and safety requirements.

Hours: Monday-Friday, 0800-1600 (or 0700-1500)

On-Call/Recall: 24/7 as required

Duties & Responsibilities
• Oversee the delivery of Security Services at Victoria International Airport.
• Act as the first point of escalation for site security personnel, including after-hours calls when required.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, policies, procedures, directives, and contractual obligations.
• Lead and support the Security Services team, including scheduling, timekeeping, performance management, coaching, and employee relations.
• Act as the primary liaison between Paladin Security and Victoria Airport Authority, including YYJ Security Operations/AVSEC.
• Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures, Operations Orders, and Contingency Plans.
• Support strategic planning and identify future operational and security needs.
• Develop and monitor service initiatives and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
• Participate in airport security meetings, working groups, and committees.
• Implement and maintain Paladin's OH&S Program in alignment with Airport Authority standards.
• Ensure workplace incidents and accidents are reported and investigated appropriately.
• Ensure employees maintain required training, licensing, certifications, and performance standards.
• Review Daily Activity Reports and Incident Reports for accuracy and escalate significant incidents as required.
• Maintain appropriate staffing levels and operational readiness.
• Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications & Security Requirements
• Minimum 5 years of security experience within the aviation industry, including at least 3 years in a supervisory/management role.
• Experience managing airport security teams of approximately 25-30 employees, including Supervisors, Patrollers, and SOC Operators.
• Valid B.C. Security Worker Licence.
• Must possess or be able to obtain Transport Canada Security Clearance (TSC) within 6 months.
• Must obtain and maintain required AVSEC certification.
• Criminal record check with no record of consequence.
• Strong knowledge of airport security procedures, access control, emergency communications, federal legislation, and Transport Canada/TCCA regulations.
• Knowledge of airport airside and landside operations.

Technical Requirements
• Proficiency with two-way radio operations, phonetic alphabet, and standard radio procedures.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Experience with WinTeam, TrackTik, Vortex, or similar scheduling, patrol, and incident-reporting systems.
Driving Requirements
• Valid B.C. Class 5 Driver's Licence.
• Must obtain YYJ AVOP DA/D within the first month of assignment.
Physical & Environmental Requirements
• Ability to walk and stand for extended periods and access multi-level facilities and airfield areas.
• Ability to respond quickly to incidents and perform approved physical control techniques when required.
• Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs and wear security equipment for extended periods.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
