. Under the direct supervision of the Security Manager and Security Supervisors, our Security Officer will be responsible for the safety and protection of team members, guests, and company assets. •Greeting guests and controlling access to the Casino •Enforcing restricted access by unauthorized persons •Monitoring, documenting and reporting internal and external violations, unsafe conditions, potential hazards, suspicious persons and activities •Preparing electronic statements via a non-gaming record keeping system •Observing cashier transactions, slot drops, and escorts cash and cash equivalent movements •Tagging and reporting found property and transferring items to Lost and Found •Conducting regular patrols of the facility, interior and exterior as directed •Performing identification checks and escorting guests and employees as directed •Referring disputes to the Security Supervisor •Designated Security Officers may be required to attend to First Aid incidents after completion of an Occupational First Aid course •Liaising and communicating effectively with all appropriate operational departments •Complying with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations •Performing other duties as assigned or directed QUALIFICATIONS:
•High School Diploma or equivalent •Previous security experience an asset but not required •Gaming Security Officer (GSO) training and other training as required •Serving It Right certification •The ability to successfully obtain a Criminal Record Check through the Gaming Policy and Enforcement Branch (GPEB) •Proficient in Microsoft Office •Exceptional interpersonal and communications skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks at one time •Ability to exceed internal and external customer expectations through timely, effective and service oriented communication •Must be available to work all shifts including days, nights, weekends and statutory holidays
