We are excited to offer a unique opportunity for individuals interested in starting a career in security! We are currently seeking motivated candidates who do not have a current valid BC Security License. This position is designed to provide required training and certifications at no cost to individuals who are not yet licensed, but are eager to enter the security industry. This free training is provided to selected candidates based on a commitment to at least 6-months full-time work or 9-months of part-time work with Paladin.

We provide the Basic Security Training (BST) certification at our office in Burnaby. The course is one week (40 hours) and runs from Monday to Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm.

Pay Rate: $18.50/hr - $23/hr starting, depending on what site or program you work in.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Conduct regular foot patrols
• De-escalate conflicts
• Respond to alarms and emergency situations
• Provide first aid
• Control access to facilities
• Monitor CCTV cameras
• Write detailed incident reports
• Other duties as needed, based on the specific site policies
YOU'RE A GREAT FIT IF YOU HAVE:
• Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills
• Strong English communication skills (written and verbal); confidence interacting verbally with team members, clients, members of the public, and emergency responders
• Physical ability to stand and/or patrol for the majority of a shift; additionally, your patrols may be indoors or outdoors, in all weather conditions, and can include stairwells, uneven surfaces, and parkades
• Legal authorization to work in Canada
