As part of the Global Cloud Services department, this position is designed to act as a highly skilled technology consultant with a focus on providing secure antivirus, endpoint detect and response solutions for Windows & Linux based Operating Systems. The individual will be part of a global team responsible for the designing, deploying and maintaining enterprise class endpoint protection solutions in support of mission critical infrastructure and SAP MultiCloud platforms. Close collaboration and support of various SAP IT teams, vendors and customers is required.

  • Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Antivirus (AV) solutions, McAfee and/or Trend Micro products preferred
  • Planning the deployment of McAfee, TrendMicro Antivirus, EDR & DLP solutions, policies, scheduling changes, deploying AV products using standard processes and technology and meeting compliance requirements.
  • Solving problems and providing Tier 1/2/3 technical expert support and guidance to the SAP community as required, for all Antivirus related issues
  • Liaising with SAP IT teams, handling AV compliance issues
  • Communicating instructions to the SAP community for AV remediation activities.
  • Manage McAfee and/or Trend Micro antivirus consoles, EDR and DLP solutions
  • Actively participate in product certifications, integration testing and projects related to Antivirus, EDR and DLP
  • Tracking and reporting of all AV remediation activities and escalating where necessary
  • Following the standard change management, release management, problem/incident management processes and compliance and Audit guidelines.
  • Participation in the creation of weekly AV reports and metrics
  • Solid understanding of Linux/Unix based operating systems including paging and swapping, inter-process communication, devices and device drivers, filesystem concepts, clustering, logical partitions, OR strong expertise in Microsoft Windows operating systems
  • Build, maintain and script automated operating system installation images/templates and standards, maintain operating system image and patch repositories, release calendars
  • Work closely with colleagues across infrastructure teams: Compute, Network, Storage, and Data Center


Required skills
  • College degree or combination of equivalent training and experience
  • 3+ years practical experience working with antivirus and endpoint protection solutions, preferably McAfee and/or Trend Micro products
  • Good working knowledge of Linux operating systems, specifically SUSE and Redhat Enterprise or good working knowledge of Windows Operating systems
  • Ability to work in a flexible, global, agile and fast-paced environment
  • Effective and efficient Time Management skills
  • Strong analytical and logical skills
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to clearly express ideas in written and verbal form
  • Strong Customer Service focus
  • High motivation and interest to embrace new technologies and learn new skills

  • Good working knowledge of cloud and virtualization technologies
  • Chef and/or Ansible automation expertise
  • Good Understanding of Kubernetes container orchestration
  • Cloud based endpoint protection solutions

  • 3+ years related experience with endpoint protection solutions, Linux or Windows operating systems.
