Position Highlights
Bring your resourcefulness and effective problem solving skills to a role where you can really make a difference. In this dynamic role you will provide support to the Manager, Youth and Young Adult Mental Health & Addictions.
In this role you will:
    •Under the direction of the Manager, Youth and Young Adult Mental Health & Addictions, establishes and maintains a variety of systems such as forms development and filing. •Performs secretarial duties such as screening incoming materials; prioritizing items for the attention of the department head or program staff; responds to inquiries by drafting correspondence or referring to appropriate area. •Types a variety of technical and non-technical material from draft and/or transcription from dictation equipment. •Schedules appointments and meetings and determines urgency of requests in order to provide effective response for patient services or other inputs. •Coordinates work flow by capturing information from files, directing referrals to appropriate staff according to predetermined criteria. •Maintains records such as timekeeping attendance, departmental statistics, etc. within established guidelines. •Performs receptionist duties such as receiving and prioritizing incoming inquiries and directs to appropriate person or area; following established procedures, provides information to patients/families regarding resources available in the community/hospital when required. •Sets up and maintains a filing system for patient records and correspondence. •Maintains inventory of supplies; maintains petty cash for department.
What you bring:
    •Completion of Grade 12 plus Office Administration Certificate. •Completion from recognized secretarial program including course in medical technology. •Three (3) year recent, related experience. •Ability to type 60 WPM

An equivalent combination of education, training and experience is acceptable.
