Sawmill Supervisor

Salary:  $80,000 – $95,000 

Location: Northern-Central B.C

Industry: Forestry

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Sawmill Supervisor will report to the Production Manager and Sawmill Superintendent. You will be responsible for overseeing production and quality control during the shift.

  • Work closely with production and maintenance to ensure plants operations are running on optimal

  • Ensure production goals are met

  • Scheduling of manpower and equipment

  • Ensure compliance to safety standards

  • Mentor production team in operations, safety, productivity and conduct annual performance reviews 

  • Assist in determine departmental budgets

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Previous production supervisor experience in a manufacturing facility

  • Understanding in continuous operating environment

  • Strong leadership qualities

  • Previous saw/planer/OSB/pulp mill experience a distinct advantage

  • PLC/PMP as asset

 

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

  • Salary $80,000-$95,000 per annum

  • Vacation: 3 weeks

  • Extended medical, dental paramedics, pension paid MSP

  • Tuition reimbursement

  • Premiums 100% paid by company

  • 50% reimbursement for safety boots
