About the team:

We are a global DevOps team focused on supporting the Integration Suite of products within SAP (CI, APIM, CI-DS etc.)

You will be joining a team in Vancouver dedicated to providing live site support and continuous improvement projects to ensure highly available and resilient products to our global customers

Position Title: SAP iXp Intern - DevOps Engineer

Location: Vancouver, BC

Expected start date to end date: Jan 3, 2023 - August 31, 2023

In this role, you'll:

• Operate enterprise scale multi-cloud applications with a DevOps culture at its heart
• Troubleshoot and analyze production issues that affect real customers
• Automate repetitive tasks and improve existing processes
• Monitor and observe for anomalies and prevent outages

Who you are:

We're looking for someone who takes initiative, perseveres, and stays curious. You like to work on meaningful innovative projects and are energized by lifelong learning.

• A student in computer science or a similar discipline
• Comfortable working with Linux and Windows operating systems
• Basic familiarity with at least one cloud infrastructure platform, e.g. AWS, Azure or GCP
• Able to apply critical thinking skills to understand the root cause of an issue
• Passionate about automation and making the computers do the work for you
• Basic knowledge of scripting e.g. Python, shell, bash
• Able to work within a global team, embracing different perspectives & cultures
• Fluent in the English language, with strong verbal and written communication skills
• Efficiently and calmly operate under pressure in emergency situations
• Strong customer focus, service minded, and experience in handling customer escalations
