What's it like on the sales team at Bench?

At the core of it, sales at Bench is a people-centric team focused on helping small business owners and entrepreneurs in the US who flock to Bench to gain financial control over their business. As an Onboarding Specialist, your first interaction with a potential client is the start of their relationship with Bench. Your genuine curiosity and drive to help people is what guides your approach to discover how Bench can be a part of their entrepreneurial journey. You’ll have targets to meet and, as a team, revenue goals to hit, which only fuels your innate sense of determination. If all of this excites you and you’re looking to gain experience in sales and start-ups while making a real difference in people’s lives, then you’ve come to the right place.

Here are some of the things you'll be getting up to:

  • Learning what it means to be a part of our stellar Sales team
  • Answering inbound calls and inquiries from entrepreneurs and small business owners who are interested to learn more about Bench's service - no cold-calling!
  • Using your good-natured wit and charm to build new relationships over the phone
  • Communicating with potential clients to gain a deeper understanding of their business needs, and educating them on how we are here to give them financial control over their lives
  • Helping one of Vancouver’s fastest-growing startups hit its revenue and growth goals
  • Guiding potential clients through to successful closure

  • This is a contract-to-hire role, and we are looking for you to start on November 7, 2018, with the contract completing on April 3, 2019. 
  • Upon completion, we will offer full-time positions to top performeres based on business need
  • ExpectedOn-Target Yearly Earnings is $53,000 ($32,000 Base + $21,000 Variable) + $1,000 Completion Bonus
  • Variable compensation is uncapped so there is no limit to your earning potential
  • We also pride ourselves on our office coffee, snacks and beer tap selection.
  • Our downtown office is close to lots of great, restaurants and easily accessible transit.
