Graduating from university can be daunting, especially if you’re still unsure on which career path you’d like to follow. You know that you want to love going to work everyday, you want to be challenged, you want to ensure that you it is indeed a step toward a “career” and not just a “job”, and you’d like to earn a lot of money.
You may not have considered a career in recruitment, and potentially, you’re not even really sure what recruitment is all about. Essentially the role is two-fold… One aspect is very sales/business development driven. You are responsible for building a book of business, by reaching out to prospective clients (companies who will potentially be hiring), through business development calls, and client meetings. You will educate potential clients on the benefits of working with Hays, win the opportunity to fill their recruitment needs, negotiate fees, and become their trusted advisor. You will also be responsible for identifying and attracting talented candidates in your area of specialism. You will network (both in-person and through social media), read and pre-screen resumes, interview, and offer advice.
Our culture is ambitious and sales-driven, and as such, we are looking for someone with demonstrated experience in a sales capacity, who thrives under pressure and responds positively to targets. You’ll need to be passionate about people so you can effectively match the right person to the right job. You’ll need to be inquisitive, wanting to understand more about people, businesses, and the world of work as a whole. We will look beyond your work experience, and consider extra-curricular activities, volunteerism, and your cover letter.
We offer world-class training in every aspect of the job, a competitive salary and uncapped commission package, 3 weeks vacation to start, frequent incentives and rewards, and a fun and dynamic environment. In return we ask for your commitment, determination, persistence and desire to fulfill your potential.

(Please do not submit generic cover letters…we want to know why you’re interested in a career in recruitment and what you will uniquely bring to Hays). We thank all candidates for their interest, however only those being considered for an interview will be contacted.
