About the Opportunity

Chubb Edwards has numerous excellent opportunities for results-driven Security Service Sales Reps and Residential Security Sales Reps / Sales Trainees to join our team in Burnaby, BC.

Security Service Sales Reps

In this role, you will be responsible for developing and driving Chubb’s security service contract sales within an assigned geographic territory. 

Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Being a positive team player with a motivation to win
  • Developing and growing recurring portfolio revenue (monitoring, services)
  • Preparing quotes for new/prospective and existing customers
  • Maintaining client rapport by understanding current and future needs and responding promptly
  • Facilitating resolution of customer service challenges through collaboration with internal departments
  • Maintaining a customer focused approach
  • Completing business reviews and presentations

To be successful in this role, you will have a post-secondary Degree/Diploma in Electronics, Business Administration, Commerce, Marketing or Sales combined with proven sales experience in B2B services with strong prospecting skills including telephone and in-person cold calling.

Our ideal candidate will also possess the following:

  • Technical industry knowledge in security systems (Asset)
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Strong communication skills, the ability to convey messages in an organized, clear and effective manner

  • The ability to be a self-starter, taking action to achieve goals beyond what is required

  • An attitude to go beyond job requirements to seek opportunities and generate ideas for improvements

  • The ability to work flexible hours, and travel for business

  • A valid driver’s license and good driving record

Residential Security Sales Rep / Sales Trainee

In this role, you will focus on developing and driving security alarm sales for Chubb’s life safety products within an assigned geographic territory and/or assigned customer accounts. 

Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Achieving 100% or more of your assigned quota
  • Obtaining sales by developing new accounts, following up on company-generated leads and servicing the existing customer base
  • Travelling to, and visiting premises, completing surveys, determining customer objectives/requirements, and designing a system through security consultation that will best meet the needs of the customer and the particular site
  • Preparing and presenting quotes, and following up on quotes by telephone and/or in person to obtain the
  • Following established procedures in the closing of a sale that includes reviewing the terms and conditions of the agreement with the customer, and completing all necessary documentation
  • Practicing a number of methods, such as preparing and delivering follow-up letters, phone calls, and responding to customer complaints in a timely manner, to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Developing a good knowledge of professional selling skills, including the ability to overcome rejection, fact-finding, closing and follow-up.
  • Understanding of the laws and regulations that relate to the products/services, including building codes and ULC requirements.

To be successful in this role, you will have a Post-secondary Degree/Diploma in Electronics, Business Administration, Commerce, Marketing or Sales(asset) combined with proven sales experience in residential services, preferably in the Security & Life Safety industry(preferred).

Our ideal will also possess the following:

  • Strong prospecting skills including telephone and in-person cold calling
  • Technical industry knowledge in fire and security systems (Asset)
  • The ability to work flexible hours, and travel for business
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and good driving record
  • Proficient personal computer skills, particularly Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong presentation and negotiating skills
