DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Welding, fabrication and installation of truck body equipment
Ability to perform hydraulic installations inclusive of troubleshooting
Working knowledge of air and electrical systems
Measurement and calibration of equipment
Fabricate items based on designated blue prints
Operation of overhead crane to handle required materials
Update and maintain daily records as required
Adhere to pre-established standards of performance
Follow safe operating procedures and health & safety policies
Responsible to identify areas for improvement, ways to better expedite and gain production efficiencies, and cost reductions where applicable.
Consistently punctual and available for a minimum of 40 hours of work per week
Perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS REQUIRED:
Ability to communicate both verbal & written in the English language
Ability to read and interpret blue prints
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions via written, verbal, or diagram form
Strong organizational and time management skills including the ability to prioritize multiple tasks
Professional demeanour and superior customer service skills
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
