Our company currently has an exciting opportunity for a Retail Event Marketing Assistant at our creative promotional marketing firm in the Burnaby area. Our company provides specialized marketing campaigns to suit each of our client’s unique company culture. We work with some of the largest corporations and major retailers in the nation and our personalized, interactive approach to marketing has dramatically increased our clients’ revenue and market brand share. Due to the increased demand for our custom-made services, our company is in immediate need of a Retail Event Marketing Assistant to act as the face of prestigious clients’ brands.
As a Retail Event Marketing Assistant, you will receive valuable experience in event set up and execution and retail event marketing. You’ll have the opportunity to work with leaders in some of the largest corporations in the nation and plan memorable event experiences for their consumers. The ideal Assistant will be an exceptional communicator and confident engaging with consumers and clients alike.

Responsibilities of the Retail Event Marketing Assistant :
Build and maintain rapport with customers in-store to establish proper channels of communication, contribute to a positive environment, and effectively meet company and client objectives.
Effectively communicate features and benefits of clients' products and conduct product demos to create a unique and positive brand experience.
Liaise with major retailers and prestigious clientele to create tailored retail events to suit each clients’ needs.
Assist in event set-up, tear down, and execution.
Plan promotions and events, including development of ideas and creation of events calendar.
Complete administrative duties promptly after each shift.
Requirements of the Retail Event Marketing Assistant :
Must be able to communicate fluently in English.
1-2 years' experience in retail customer service or management, retail events, event planning/event coordinating, promotional marketing, field marketing, brand promotions, and other environments providing retail customer service or promotional marketing support an asset.
Must be a self-starter, creative, flexible, and possess the ability to multi-task.
Comfortable approaching, engaging, and speaking to the general public on a regular basis.
Positive, energetic personality capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
Regular access to a vehicle is preferred.
