We has exciting opportunities to work casual as a Respiratory Therapist. The Fraser Health region includes Acute facilities in Abbotsford, Burnaby, Tri-cities, Delta, Langley, Maple Ridge, New Westminster, Surrey, and White Rock, located in British Columbia. Build on your education & career experience as you:
•Perform diagnostic and therapeutic assessments, interventions and follow-ups, including assisting with cardiopulmonary resuscitation and providing support initiating/maintaining mechanical ventilation support of adults, children and infants, providing airway management, patient evaluation, and daily care of patients as prescribed. •Maintain documentation by ensuring reports, records and workload statistics are complete and accurate according. •Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care goals, therapeutic/diagnostic strategies and program related issues. •Monitor and performs required maintenance, cleaning, calibration, evaluation and quality control of respiratory and related equipment. •Participate in quality improvement activities such as the development, implementation and evaluation of written procedures and standards, development of assessment forms and patient materials, and program descriptions as required. •Participate in and provide Respiratory Therapy student education and various in-services for staff and the community as required. •Participate in meetings and departmental committees and contribute to problem identification and resolution. •Graduated from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program. •Successfully completed the Canadian Board of Respiratory Care credentialing exam. •Are eligible for membership with the Canadian Society of Respiratory Therapists (CSRT) and British Columbia Society of Respiratory Therapists (BCSRT). •Hold current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), Level C and are in possession of and maintained your Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
