Opportunity and Scope

Are you interested in an onsite live in Management position along with a handyman experience?

Hale Property Group is currently in a growth and expansion phase and would like to invite persons with experience in managing residential property operations in the real estate industry to join our management team . This opportunity also includes to be our live in onsite full time resident manager / handyman.

Requirements

  • Must have a well-established working experience in the industry. Depending on the experience and availabilities, the potential applicants should have abilities and capacities in managing residential properties for residential units with little supervision.
  • Must be willing to relocate to a Fort St James B.C
  • Experience in developing property operations team
  • Must know how to Identify opportunities to improve quality of services delivered.
  • Able to work effectively in high stress situations
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and have a reliable vehicle
  • Must successfully complete a security clearance and be bonded.
  • Must have computer skills and internet access.

Qualification and Skills

  • Must have excellent communication (written & verbal), organizational, time management, and listening skills
  • Must be able to adapt and manage multiple tasks with conflicting priorities
  • Above average problem solving, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
  • Possesses a keen ability to recognize problems and create effective course of action to solve issues
  • Previous maintenance experience required
  • Responsibilities include:

Snaking toilets, drains, disposals

Assisting with Resident maintenance requests

Snow removal & Lawn Care

Organization and cleaning of maintenance/utility areas

Assistance will general upkeep of all properties

Basic plumbing and carpentry experience needed.

Painting experience is a plus.

Knowledge of appliance repair is a plus.

Basic electrical experience is a plus.

Personal tools are required but not an essential.
There are occasionally emergencies that need to be handled after hours. This position would be required to respond to and resolve these emergencies.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Fixed term contract

Contract length: 24 months

Additional pay:

  • Bonus pay

Flexible language requirement:

  • French not required

Schedule:

  • 4 hour shift
  • 8 hour shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Fort St James, BC V0J 1P0: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

  • Plumbing: 5 years (required)
  • Handyman,management: 10 years (required)

Licence/Certification:

  • Driving Licence (required)

Work Location: In person
