We are Knowledge Network, British Columbia’s public educational broadcaster. You are an emerging statistics dynamo with a passion for public service media. We have an excellent opportunity for a full-time Researcher to conduct and coordinate audience research on television and streaming services.
You love numbers, data and spreadsheets, and are curious about how best to report the data to inform decisions and make things better. You will develop weekly, monthly and seasonal research reports about our audiences and identify trends using TV meter and web data. You also enjoy getting out from behind that desk to learn how this research is used. As our in-house statistical go-to person, this role uses analytics to support programming and marketing activities. Your curiosity and analytical skills will contribute to relevant, quality reports that help us understand audience viewing behaviour.
Qualified candidates will have a bachelor’s degree in business, statistics, sociology, or equivalent relevant education demonstrating analytical and interpretive skills. High proficiency in Excel is required as well as proven initiative in conceptualizing research projects and presenting data, including presentations to management. Experience with Google Analytics would be an asset. Accuracy and attention to detail are paramount. You must have exceptional interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
In addition to the required skills, we are looking for someone who believes in the value of what we proudly offer as a free, commercial-free public broadcaster providing creative documentaries, arts and culture and children’s programs on television, web and mobile apps. Do you love what we do? Join our talented team and put your Knowledge to work.
