Recruiting in Motion is an innovative recruitment firm that takes the art & science of recruiting to a whole new level and we are looking for a RESEARCH / RECRUITMENT ASSISTANT to join our small Vancouver team!

This position is open to any candidates that may be seeking either permanent, temporary or contract work. Travelers with valid work permits may also apply.

This position works from within our downtown Vancouver office location.

We are the only Greater Vancouver employment agency to offer our clients a unique 3 dimensional approach to staffing. We provide candidate video clips along with resumes making the hiring process faster, easier, less expensive and more effective than conventional employment agency techniques.

We have 29 offices throughout Canada and the United States and specialize in the recruitment and placement of temporary, contract and permanent employees at all levels of OFFICE, INDUSTRIAL and PROFESSIONAL positions.

Job Title: Research / Recruitment Assistant
Reports to: Managing Partner
Work Hours: 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday to Friday
Location: Downtown Vancouver – 595 Howe Street, Suite 308


The Research / Recruitment Assistant role is working from within our Vancouver offices and will be providing candidate research assistance to the B.C. Recruitment teams to help identify, source, select, record, secure qualified passive and active candidates into our LEGAL pipelines. This position requires a smart, articulate, energetic, enthusiastic, and proactive individual with a flair for researching, writing, communicating, coordinating, planning, and someone who can multitask and deal with changing priorities.

  • Using your proven research skills and Boolean search techniques, you will be researching active and passive legal candidates on the internet and within our databases regularly using Linked In, Social Media, Indeed, our CRM system and various databases to assist with identifying, sourcing, recording, selecting and securing qualified passive and active candidates.
  • Ultimately you will develop comprehensive lists and pipelines of qualified legal candidates and recording and presenting these detailed candidate lists to our internal Recruitment Managers.


  • University Degree or Post-Secondary diploma or equivalent legal experience
  • Proficiency with MS Office including Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Previous experience working in a professional office environment
  • Former full cycle legal recruitment experience is ideal but not mandatory
  • Ability to prioritize and handle changing priorities in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to handle confidential information
  • Strong web, research, analysis and computer tech savvy skills
  • Intermediate administrative, organizational, time management and multi-tasking skills
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, professional demeanour and appearance, interpersonal skills and integrity
