Job Summary
The Team
The qualitative research group within the Research Innovation and Community Partnerships Branch is a new, dynamic team of approximately four members who are collaborative, curious, and driven by the potential to create systemic change. The team actively leads projects that focus on anti-racism and equity, ensuring that the research has a meaningful impact on marginalized and underserved groups. You will work closely with Research Advisors, Analysts, Community Partnership Specialists, and other experts to produce innovative, evidence-based outcomes, while prioritizing a healthy work-life balance.
The Role
As a Researcher, you will lead qualitative research projects using anti-racism, anti-oppression and trauma-informed methodologies with a strong focus on cultural safety, intersectionality, and community needs. Your research will directly impact access to programs and services by providing evidence-based insights that shape policies and initiatives. This role offers a unique opportunity for critical thinking and innovation, allowing you to develop research projects that are community-centered and aimed at creating systemic change.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in statistics, mathematics, public or business administration, or a related research field and 2 years' *related experience; OR
• Diploma in statistics, mathematics, public or business administration, or a related research field and 3 years' *related experience; OR
• Certificate or coursework in statistics, mathematics, research methodologies (preference with qualitative research coursework), public or business administration, or a related field and 4 years' *related experience; OR
• An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
*Related experience must include all of the following:
• Experience in designing and conducting qualitative and quantitative research.
• Experience using Excel, relational databases, and large datasets for data extraction and statistical analysis.
Preference may be given to applicants with one (1) or more of the following:
• Experience in providing briefings and presentations to senior executive and the public.
• Experience leading public engagement projects.
• Experience in project management.

About this Position:
Currently there are two (2) permanent opportunities available.
Remote work is allowed, this position can work up to full time from their home in British Columbia subject to an approved telework agreement. The locations listed above are to assist applicants in searching for this opportunity and are not a complete list of locations.
