to provide support in our Workplace Health Department. Position Highlights
Bring your knowledge of Disability Management (DM) principles and practice to a role where you can really make a difference! In this position you will you will work with members of the Absence Management & Stay-at-Work team. You will provide support to the client representatives, disability management by advising on employee rehabilitation and health-related absences; promoting early return to work (RTW); and developing and implement RTW plans. Your specific duties will include:
•Coordinates the initial Enhanced Disability Management Program (EDMP) process by communicating with key stakeholders including Managers, Unions, rehabilitation providers and third party insurers to facilitate the safe and timely return to work for injured/ill employees •Assists injured/ill employees in all aspects of their absence •Proposes, develops and implements recovery plans with the Client Representatives, Disability Management when the plan involves more in-depth medical case management and/or complex cases and escalates appropriately •Interprets and applies collective agreement provisions related to EDMP and RTW processes working within the WCB Act and Regulation, Human Rights Legislation and Long Term Disability Benefit Plans •Monitors the status of employees' participating in EDMP through follow up with Managers, employees and EDMP Union Representatives. •Provides advice and recommendations to employees and managers on the suitability of job duties related to employee's current functional status.

You are able to set priorities, are driven and have exceptional self-motivation skills enabling you to thrive independently in your position.
You are knowledgeable in current trends in disability management and related best practices. You demonstrate a high level of discretion and maturity in handling confidential information and situations. Qualifications:
•Diploma in Rehabilitation and Disability Management •3 to 5 years' recent, related experience in a disability management or rehabilitation setting An equivalent combination of education, training and experience is acceptable.
This relief part-time
position is based at our Central City offices in Surrey, BC, with access to rapid transit, shopping, restaurants, on-site gym and other amenities and will be available until December 2021 or until the return of incumbent. Valued Benefits
