Build on your career experience by:
    •Assessing and coordinating care to assigned patients in a patient-centered Palliative Complex Care Unit setting •Consulting and collaborating with members of the interdisciplinary health care team •Partnering with patients and families to develop an appropriate plan of care •Acting as an advocate to protect and promote the patient's rights to autonomy, cultural competence, respect, privacy, dignity, and access to information •Contributing in quality improvement activities •Participating in the orientation and ongoing education of nursing staff and students •Maintaining a safe environment for patients, families and staff by adhering to established safety and emergency practices and procedures.
Your background includes:
    •Graduated from an approved school of Nursing •Recent one (1) year acute medical/surgical nursing or acute palliative care experience, plus completion of a certificate in the designated clinical area •Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse and/or Registered Psychiatric Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nursing Professionals (BCCNP)
