Do you have a passion for nursing? We have the position for you! We are seeking a motivated Registered Nurse with a dedication for delivering compassionate patient care to join our team at St. Johns Hospital.

Provides nursing care according to established standards and administrative policies. This involves assessing physical and psychosocial needs, planning, implementing and documenting the nursing care for an individual patient or groups of patients. Co-ordinates the care of assigned patients and supervises the work activities of assigned non-professional nursing staff.

Shift Rotation/Hours of work: Days, Nights - 07:30 to 19:30, 19:30 to 07:30 rotating

New Wage: As of April 1, 2023 the new wage is: $40.21 - $57.78/hour

St. Johns Hospital is a 21 acute-care bed facility. The Hospital serves the communities of Vanderhoof and the Saik'uz First Nation, as well as acting as a referral centre for the surrounding communities of Burns Lake, Fort St James and Fraser Lake. They are a full service hospital with 24/7 emergency and OR capabilities. St. Johns Hospital is a teaching facility for the University of Northern BC. Attached to the hospital is Stuart Nechako Manor that has 45 long-term care beds.

Vanderhoof has a population of 4,500 (2021). Nestled in the fertile Nechako Valley, on the banks of the Nechako River, rural Vanderhoof is the geographical centre of the province of British Columbia. Check out Vanderhoof where there is always something new to experience.

Qualfications
• Registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant.

Skills and Abilities:
• Demonstrated ability in carrying out the principles and practices of nursing skills in patient care.
• Proven ability to chart and record accurately.
