Responsible for business development, increased revenue, loan growth, and business deposit growth within the Industry Sectors Franchise vertical. Maintain strong relationships and credibility with all internal and external stakeholders through the generation of referral activity. Facilitates decisioning and analysis of all types of credit information to support lending decisions and processes for the bank. Maintains and promotes a client service environment to satisfy and exceed customer needs and expectations.

Responsibilities day to day include:

• Act as the leading professional resource in all areas that impact BMO's franchise portfolio and the achievement of Enterprise goals and objectives

• Applies deep expertise in bank products, processes and systems and effectively trouble shooting to ensure a high-quality client experience.

• Identify and provide referrals to banking partners across regions, markets and areas. Ensure non-commercial sales opportunities are identified and acted upon. Partner with appropriate BMO sales teams including Retail, Wealth Management, Treasury and Payment Solutions, and others to provide/ solicit referrals as appropriate.

• Acts as a trusted advisor to assigned business/group. Makes recommendations to senior leaders on strategy and new initiatives, based on an in-depth understanding of the business/group.

• Influences and negotiates to achieve business objectives. Acts as a key relationship conduit between leading Franchisors, key Industry Stakeholders and the assigned business across Canada.

• Acts as the prime subject matter expert for internal/external stakeholders. Maintain relationships with professional associations, high level COIs, including banner and franchise organizations, industry consolidators, distributors, appraisers and valuators.

• Provides input into the planning and implementation of operational programs and papers.

• Conducts independent analysis and assessment to resolve strategic issues.

• Maintains current on financing trends in target clients' markets, and communicate same to team members.

• Establishes cross-selling initiatives to increase penetration with client.

• Coordinates the preparation of Banking proposals and pitches to prospective clients with efforts to maximize penetration and returns.

• Serves as a daily escalation resource to ensure client expectations are met or exceeded.

• Partners with internal stakeholders for accurate, detailed client information.

• Prepares summary, present facts and offer opinions concerning credit worthiness.

• Builds effective relationships with internal/external stakeholders.

• Attend/participate in trade shows and industry-related networking events

• Focus is on business within BMO to have a broader, enterprise-wide focus.

• Provides specialized consulting, analytical and technical support.

• Exercises judgment to identify, diagnose, and solve problems within given rules.

• Works independently and regularly handles non-routine situations.

• Broader work or accountabilities may be assigned as needed.

Experience it will take to succeed:

• Typically between 5 - 7 years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Deep knowledge and technical proficiency gained through extensive education and business experience.
