Reporting to the Regional Director, Project Portfolio Management, the Regional Manager, Strategy and Planning leads health authority-wide system level strategic and service delivery planning activities that directly influence senior management decision-making concerning resource allocation. The Regional Manager, Strategy and Planning is responsible for ensuring plans are aligned and contribute to the successful achievement of both Government priorities as outlined in the annual Government Mandate Letter of Expectations and to the achievement of emerging internal organizational priorities as identified by senior management. This position provides leadership to program areas to develop service alignment and/or strategic level plans and organizational processes to ensure plans and planning activities are integrated, coordinated, align with Government priorities and contribute to achieving Northern Health's vision and mission.
Starting salary will be approximately from $106,026 to $132,533 and will be based on education, training, experience, and salaries of similar positions.

Qualfications
• Masters' Degree in Health Care Administration, Business Administration, or related field.
• Three to five (3-5) years health care experience in data coordination, planning or strategy or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Extensive knowledge of healthcare and service delivery models of the continuum of care an asset.
Skills and Abilities:
• Knowledge of strategic planning and operational planning processes.
• Superior communication skills, both verbal and written, including proven ability to communicate change, planning concepts, and policy and the ability to write complex reports.
• Effectively leads and manages consultation processes with a wide range of stakeholder groups such as Board of Directors, senior and middle management leaders in health care, physicians, organizational staff, government representatives and the general public.
• Proven ability to successfully manage complex projects requiring a conceptual and developmental process with knowledge of project management principles, methods, and processes.
• Knowledge and ability in complex system approaches and whole system change strategies.
• Proven leadership with diverse groups and individuals.
• Political savvy including demonstrated ability to maneuver through complex political situations effectively and a sensitive to how people and organizations function; able to act in a politically savvy manner in all communications.
• Excellent interpersonal and change management skills, conflict management skills, and an ability to negotiate effectively.
• Knowledge of community engagement, consultation, and community health needs assessment principles and models.
• Exceptional ability to gather and synthesize data and decision-making abilities.
