Are you interested in an opportunity to grow professionally within a positive and progressive culture? Northern Health is seeking a champion with significant management and leadership experience to join our Professional Practice and Clinical Learning department.
The Regional Manager, Health Career Access and Associated Programs (HCAAP) works with a broad range of internal and external interested parties in the development, implementation, on-going coordination, and evaluation within Northern Health (NH) of provincial and regional initiatives related to work-integrated learning programs (Earn and Learn). Examples include but not limited to Health Career Access Program (HCAP), Mental Health Support Worker (MHSW) and other programs. The Regional Manager is responsible for the management of staff and resources assigned to Earn and Learn programs. The incumbent works collaboratively with the leadership across the organization and across the north to ensure the implementation of the HCAP, MHSW and associated programs are regionally standardized, but also contextually sensitive to the various areas across NH.
Starting salary will be approximately from $106,026 to $132,533 and will be based on education, training, experience, and salaries of similar positions.
Qualfications
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Adult Education, Health Discipline or a related discipline;
• Minimum seven (7) years of progressively senior education, program management and training experience in a large, complex unionized environment.
• Or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Skills and Abilities:
• Sufficient knowledge and understanding of health care operations (residential care, assisted living and community care) and adult education to implement complex programs.
• Ability to apply adult learning concepts to the work.
• Excellent small and large group facilitation skills.
• Knowledge of current healthcare and healthcare education issues and trends.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with all levels of the organization and with external partners.
• Ability to foster working relationships, both internal and external, at all levels.
• Ability to collaborate with others to design services and solutions to address complex problems.
• Ability to proactively anticipate and adapt to changing priorities and opportunities both at the strategic and operational level.
• Ability to conduct research, synthesize evidence and conduct informal and formal evaluations.
• Ability to develop assessments and evaluation frameworks.
• Ability to provide coaching, guidance, and advice to staff.
• Ability to organize and prioritize multiple competing activities concurrently.
• Ability and willingness to travel.
• Ability to operate related equipment including relevant computer software applications.
• Ability to perform the duties related to this position.
