Salary:  $45,000 – $50,000

Our client, a Richmond based developer, is looking to add an outgoing Receptionist/AP Clerk to their stellar team.  This family-run company really values its’ employees and boasts an amazing team culture.  With a solid reputation for constructing high-end residential communities, this well-established company provides great stability and a work-place you can be proud to be part of. 


This role combines Reception and Administrative duties with the full cycle duties of Accounts Payable, providing all-around support to the Finance team.  Reporting directly into the Controller with a dotted line to the VP of Finance, the Receptionist will be the first point of contact in the office while ensuring the customers receive prompt and accurate payment.

The Key accountabilities for this role include:

  • Greet internal and external customers
  • Receive calls and emails
  • Organize and distribute incoming & outgoing mail
  • Coordinate meetings and special events
  • Filing, office supplies and other administrative duties
  • Full Cycle Accounts Payable
  • Track holdbacks
  • AP sub-ledger
  • Job cost reports
  • Communicating with, and maintaining relationships with vendors
  • AP reconciliations and matching using excel
  • Ad hoc projects as required



This role calls for an individual who is outgoing, bubbly and has strong interpersonal skills.  Along with this the successful candidate will have solid experience with mid to high volume Accounts Payable.  The ideal candidate is a self-starter who is detail oriented and has a strong work ethic.  This role is best suited to someone that is positive and a team player. 

The following would be considered requirements:

  • A minimum of 3 year’s full cycle AP experience
  • Strong computer skills
  • Superb communication skills, both written and oral
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Proven ability to prioritize

The following would be considered assets:

  • Experience in construction or a project-based environment such as mining, engineering, development, or real estate.
  • Experience using Timberline software.



  • Salary: $45,000 to $50,000 per annum
  • Performance based bonus
  • Benefits: Extended Medical, Dental, MSP, Long-term Disability
  • Vacation: 3 weeks
