Purchasing Clerk – Temp to Perm
Compensation: $20 – $22/hour

Our client, a multi-national building supplies company, is looking to hire an exceptional Purchasing Clerk to join their team.
Located in Chilliwack, this small office embodies a welcoming work place culture through respect, accountability and appreciation.
Reporting to the Customer Service Manager, this individual will be primarily responsible for purchase of production material on a daily basis and ensuring prompt and timely delivery. The ideal candidate has 2 to 4 years purchasing experience in a manufacturing/logistics environment and has a positive presence with the keen ability to meet deadlines and keep up with demand.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
Generation and coordination of purchase orders
Arrangement, confirmation and tracking of shipping schedules
Liaise with suppliers, vendors and various internal departments
Various inventory related duties
Previous purchasing experience in the manufacturing/logistics industry
Strong ability to multi task, prioritize and organize effectively
High level of proficiency with MS office and experience with ERP systems
Excellent written and verbal communication
