We currently have an exciting part-time opportunity for a Psychologist in our Mental Health & Substance Use Services located in Tri-Cities, BC.

The Psychologist is in charge of psychological services for a specified program and is responsible for psychology services within a multidisciplinary team that provides mental health services to the community.

Build on your education and career experience as you:
    •Conduct a full range of psycho-diagnostic assessments/test and interpretations. •Provide psychological treatment to individuals and families with serious mental health problems. •Offer consultation to colleagues on assessment and treatment issues, which may involve a direct consultation as with a formal assessment, co-therapy, or a discussion. •Act as a senior non-medical therapist with complex issues. •Participate in the short and long-term planning for the assigned program. •Maintain related reports, records, and statistical data, in accordance with established standards and procedures. •Participate and promote educational programs on therapeutic and assessment techniques. •Initiate and carry out program evaluation in consultation with Manager or assigned program Coordinator. •If you are a new graduate in the process of registration with CPBC, we would be happy to discuss future opportunities

To join our team you have:
    •Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from a recognized university. •Recent related clinical experience. •Current registration with the College of Registered Psychologists of BC. •Valid Class V BC Driver's license and possession of a personal vehicle with business insurance coverage. •Comprehensive knowledge of assessment and diagnosis of mental illness and of professional practice guidelines for the treatment of various disorders. •Knowledge of relevant legislation. •Sound knowledge of the service delivery system at v level.
