Job Summary
The Team
The Selkirk District Stewardship team is a small, collaborative group of six professionals who care for the health and sustainability of our forests. We handle important work like planting, surveying, and monitoring forest health, as well as managing stewardship plans that help protect environmental values. As part of this team, you'll join a supportive and knowledgeable group that values diverse perspectives and works closely with other teams such as wildfire risk reduction and engineering to make a positive impact on B.C.'s forests.
The Role
As a Public Service Intern, you'll spend much of your time outdoors, supporting foresters with projects that keep our forests healthy and sustainable. Your work helps ensure contractors and licensees have accurate field layouts and valuable feedback on their submissions, making a real difference for communities and the environment. This is a great opportunity to learn, build skills, and explore whether silviculture and stewardship are the right path for you-all while working in a beautiful part of the province with a welcoming, knowledgeable team that values diverse perspectives.

Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements
- Post-secondary universities and colleges undergraduate or graduate degree, or 2-year diploma in a resource management field. Must have been completed within last 12 months.
Related Experience may include
- Experience performing technical duties that support natural resource management.

Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work from home a few days a week subject to an approved telework agreement.
