JOB DESCRIPTION:

Reporting to the Senior Accountant, the Property Accountant will be responsible for a portfolio of 25 commercial properties & 150 residential houses and condos. 

The key accountabilities are as follows:

  • Full cycle accounting (including leases, CAM reconciliations, etc.) for a set portfolio of your clients
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Monthly A/R discussions with property managers
  • Monthly owner distribution calculations

 

REQUIREMENTS:

The following would be considered requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ full cycle accounting experience
  • Property experience
  • Level 3 or higher CPA designation
  • CAM adjustments history
  • Excellent communication skills; written and verbal
  • Strong interpersonal skills

The following would be considered assets:

  • Working knowledge of Spectra or Yardi
  • Strong MS Office skills: Excel & Word

 

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

  • $40,000 to $45,000 per annum
  • 2 weeks’ vacation
  • Comprehensive benefits package
