Are you passionate about playing a supporting role in delivering valuable healthcare projects? We're seeking a hardworking colleague for our Information Management Project Office team in the role of Project Support Manager who has a proven track record for getting results, and is passionate about leadership, innovation and project management. The role is a two-year temporary role within the Advance program.

The Advance program is focused on re-imagining how Fraser Health will deliver care today and into the future. The program will enable Fraser Health to improve the way patients experience care while driving better outcomes. The program will continue to support common clinical standards and processes, including workflows, order sets, clinical guidelines and integrated plans of care enabled by a common electronic health record, across the region. Within the program governance, there is a series of multi-year projects designed to improve the safety, quality and consistency of patient care across Fraser Health ("region") supported by the implementation of a modern clinical information system.

Given the complexity, breadth and scale of this large transformation program, there is a need for a passionate, experienced and dedicated Project Support Manager who will perform the role of Portfolio Management Lead within the Advance Program.

What you bring to the team?

You are an experienced project manager who is highly organized, able to roll-up your sleeves to progress activities and not shy about taking leadership to document, coordinate and develop workplans, presentations, decision records, log risks and issues and other critical portfolio management activities. You have the ability to anticipate and coordinate activities across cross-functional teams, as well as, work outside of the program with other leads and project managers to manage the overall dependencies between the various projects and portfolios that impact the Advance program.

Reporting Relationship

This role will report directly into the Advance Senior Portfolio Manager, Contract and Portfolio Management with a matrix report into the Advance Transformation Management Office through the Project Director and/ or TMO Senior Project Manager.

What you will be accountable for

This position is responsible for ensuring the relationship between the various portfolios is properly managed. Working closely with Advance PMO team, you will apply your expertise in project management, stakeholder management, governance management, communications, portfolio development, resource management, decision support, and corporate business savvy.

You will define, recommend, develop and implement process, tools, reports and plans to manage the cross portfolio dependencies to align with the Advance implementation plan. Within this portfolio, you will have the opportunity to combine your expertise in project management and change management with your ability to effectively communicate and provide recommendations to senior leadership.

Responsibilities will include:
    •Establish process/framework to identify and manage cross projects' dependencies •Liaise with external project managers and sponsors to share projects' status and milestones •Identify the external projects that may have an impact on Advance project •Manage the dependencies and provide regular report to the governance team •Manage the risks and issues that arise due to the inter-project dependencies •Support Advance project managers by ensuring impact assessment are properly done and reflected in the master project plan •Work closely with the Advance Transformation Management Office (TMO) to ensure alignment and input into the workplans, status reports, risk/issues management are aligned;

To join our team, we'll be looking for you to have:
    •A Bachelor's Degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems or Health Information Science •Seven (7) years' recent, related experience with contemporary project management practice including three (3) years' experience as a project manager within a complex healthcare environment •Experience in managing complex projects that involve several integrated systems •Experience with clinical information systems used within acute hospitals (for example: Medical Imaging, Laboratory, Pharmacy, Surgical, and Health Information Management, etc). •Demonstrated clinical stakeholder engagement experience •It is an asset if the proponent has experience or knowledge of specific FH processes, downstream clinical applications, and end-to-end clinical and system workflows

You will also have a proven track record of successful project delivery and the ability to create and maintain key relationships needed to obtain the support and dedication of project stakeholders and partners. In addition, you'll have excellent written and oral communications skills, and be comfortable presenting sophisticated concepts to management, technical, and non-technical staff appropriately. A Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is required. You will be able to provide three references that demonstrate your experience in Health Informatics Clinical Systems within the last 5-8 years.

We will give preference to those that have:
    •Experience working in the Healthcare Industry with Clinical Information System implementations. •Experience or Certification in Prince2, IIBA (or other industry recognized PM or Business Analysis designation or standard). •Experience with presenting to and communicating with Executive teams •Experience with managing multiple cross functional teams •Ability to work closely with operational teams to understand inter-project dependencies
