Our client is an established developer builder who have a proud 35-year history as a respected developer in Vancouver, BC. Their diverse portfolio includes mixed use, residential, commercial and institutional developments, many of which are complex and multi-phase by nature. Every project is defined by a strong focus on user experience, thoughtful design, and a down-to-earth philosophy of enriching the cities and communities in every way. Due to the ongoing growth of this developer they are looking to add a Project Manager to be based in their well-appointed office in the Vancouver area.
Your new role
As Project Manager you will be part of a small, high performing team focused solely on the execution for the multifamily developments this company have across Vancouver, BC. Reporting to the Director of Construction, you will take responsibility for the entire project lifecycle along with the provided the assistance of the project team. Your responsibilities will include planning, contract negotiation, cost control, solving complex design and construction issues, dealing with sub-trades and most importantly showing strong leadership. This is a demanding role which requires someone who is not only technically strong and resilient but someone who is passionate about the projects they build and leads with this mentality.
What you'll need to succeed
This job requires a minimum of 5+ years of previous experience in a Project Manager role working for either a General Contractor or Developer in Vancouver, BC. A proven track record of delivering wood frame multi-family projects successfully is a must. You will need a relevant technical diploma or degree education. This client is in need of a candidate with a good -permanent work history, excellent communication skills with good trade knowledge.
