Join us on an exciting project and make history. The Royal Columbian Hospital Redevelopment is a multi-year, multi-phase project to increase the hospital's capacity, beds and services.

RCH first opened in 1862, is a vital referral centre and regional centre of excellence for trauma, critical care, cardiac care, maternity, neonatal intensive care and neurosurgery. When the full redevelopment is complete, the people of British Columbia will have increased access to cardiac, trauma, mental health, maternity and NICU services and beds.

Are you passionate about leadership, innovation and project management? If so, bring your skills to this key role providing expert level project management services to clients and project team members throughout the life of the RCH Redevelopment Project. Specifically, provide leadership to the Project team through all project phases: workflow, technical, clinical, design, build, training and go-live.

As a Project Manager, you will be a part of the Project Support and Results Office (PSRO), a component of the RCH Redevelopment PMO where you will use your creativity to tackle technical complexities and coordinate with various partners.

Your diverse background in project management, interior design or architecture will prepare you to use your creative skills in the planning, coordination and development of design and construction project.

Build on your education and career experience as you:
    •Manage the overarching Master Schedule for the RCH Redevelopment Project by providing project management expertise for scheduling and scope management. •Manage planning and implementation of facility projects including the preparation of project charters, confirmation of project scope, developing project plans, budgets and schedules. •Provide leadership to the project, liaising with various associates with respect to risk management and quality control. Clearly communicating the project status, ongoing issues, progress updates, challenges and opportunities. •Ensures Project Management standardization and proficiency for project Lifecycle deliverables and activities. •Provide recommendations to the leadership team to mitigate cost overruns, maintain adherence to allocated budgets and timelines, and ensure delivery of a successful project. •Develop and lead all aspects of project business plans for identified projects through conducting feasibility studies, solution development, identifying functional requirements, and scope and design concepts. You will assess opportunities by reviewing budgets and implementation schedules to ensure business plans are consistent with user needs and expectations.


We would like you to have:
    •Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Engineering, or Health Sciences related field •Five (5) to seven (7) years' recent related experience in managing, leading and directing facilities projects in a complex institutional environment •An equivalent combination of education, training and experience is acceptable

We are looking for a hardworking individual who has the ability to develop project schedules, budgets, construction estimates and has experience in space planning and construction management.
