WSP is currently seeking a Project Manager specializing in Municipal Infrastructure or Land Development to join us in our Victoria Uptown office, or potentially additional WSP locations in British Columbia. This exciting opportunity will provide you with the chance to join a friendly, supportive and knowledgeable team. You will work on projects for both public, private, and First Nation clients with an initial focus on Land Development. You will also be involved in general municipal water treatment and distribution, sewage collection and treatment, stormwater management and road systems. As part of the design team you will deal directly with clients and approval agencies. Occasional field work may be assigned

Over the past five decades, our multidisciplinary teams have carried out a wide array of projects, some of which have received national and international awards.RESPONSIBILITIES
•Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide appropriate solutions in a professional and ethical manner;
•Develop conceptual, preliminary, and detailed engineering drawings, designs and plans including plan & profiles, sections and details for design, preparing specifications contract documents, tender, construction and as-constructed drawing sets;
•Maintain project budgets while clearly and efficiently communicating to internal management and clients;
•Complete preliminary and detailed design on a variety of project components including road works, sanitary and storm systems, water distribution systems, storm water management, and lift stations;
•Field review, contract administration and resolving construction issues;
•Write effective and competitive proposals, and develop and foster good relationships with existing and new clients; and
•Other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS
•8+ years career experience working in the industry is preferred;
•P.Eng. or ASc.T designation in BC would be an asset;
•Experienced with engineering of roads, water, sanitary and drainage systems;
•Experience in AutoCAD Civil 3D software;
•Proven experience in construction services including tender preparation, contract administration, and field review;
•Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
•Committed team player;
•Excellent communication skills - written and verbal, including teamwork and interpersonal abilities;
•Strong time management skills with the ability to respond to changing priorities and meet deadlines;
•Proven success in getting and meeting performance goals; and
•Strong focus on managing multiple projects with a solid commitment to exceptional client service on an ongoing basis.
