We are seeking a Project Manager, Facilities Maintenance & Operations (FMO) to help manage the implementation of facilities & infrastructure asset management projects and initiatives on matters relating to planning, design and installation issues for Fraser Health with a focus on reliable, resilient and maintainable assets and asset risk and quality on the New Surrey Hospital and Cancer Center (NSHCC).

As a operations & maintenance and asset integrity (risk and quality) Project Manager, you bring your knowledge and abilities in project management, asset management, operations and maintenance, relationship building, and leadership skills to a role where you will strive to make a difference to patients, families and care givers. You will apply project management principles and methods to the planning, standards, design, construction, inspection, commissioning, deficiency and warranty processes for mechanical, electrical, structural and architectural systems, equipment and components on the NSHCC with a focus on reliability, resilience, maintainability, and safety over the asset life.

You will be an important part of the integrated project ensuring the integrity of asset standards, designs and construction quality with various internal and external teams reviewing project construction management methods, project construction budgets, specification development and design reviews as well as connecting with contractors, consultants and FHA Facilities staff on the NSHCC. Build on your education and experience as you:
    •Establish project team structure, provide leadership on facilities projects and supervise assigned staff ensuring completion of work to the required standards •Develop and manage the project plan in conjunction with Project Managers, Facilities Planners and the respective Manager, FMO for the onsite construction project, ensuring successful and coordinated completion of the facilities construction project •Lead and partake in the development of specifications, tenders, design and submission reviews, commissioning activities and budgeting for ongoing operations and maintenance •Conduct regular construction site inspections to ensure construction and equipment installations align with maintenance requirements •Develop and manage the project capital facilities construction budget and post construction budget requirements •Provide guidance in resolving construction-related issues, in collaboration with partners and staff; assist with the resolution of disputes with construction contracts/consultants •Provide quality control in collaboration with advisors to ensure that the project meets the Organizations requirements as set out in the contract •Coordinate FMO project technical support with on-site facilities department including collaborative design reviews, work plan coordination, operational shutdowns and tie-ins

Are you motivated to join our team? We will be looking for you to have the following:
    •A Diploma in Architectural and Building Technology or Trades Qualification Certificate supplemented by appropriate formal training such as a Building Construction Technology Certificate •Seven (7) to nine (9) years' recent, related experience in managing design, construction and operations matters inclusive of five (5) years' recent, related supervisory experience and two (2) years' project management experience within a complex healthcare environment •An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be acceptable
