Project Manager / Estimator and Sales - Service and Power Quality:  Harvey 2090

We are an Electrical contracting company who is currently searching for an experienced, energetic and driven Project Manager / Estimator to join our Service and Power Quality Division. This position also includes a sales component.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will report directly to the Division Manager and will work closely with the field team (superintendent, foremen, and installers) and with the assigned office support (coordinators, designers, technicians, and accounting) to achieve project performance, budget and schedule targets.

The Project Manager / Estimator performs a wide range of duties and is responsible for the original estimate to win the job, once the job has been won the Project Manager / Estimator is responsible for planning, staffing, implementing, billing, controlling and evaluating each project.

Sales responsibilities will include cold calling on the phone and in person to develop new contacts, delivering presentations, building on and maintaining existing customer bases from within other departments and attending industry related functions.


  • An electrical trades certificate, or electrical engineering degree
  • Experience with vault maintenance and infrared FLIR product (cameras and testing)
  • Experience as a Service Electrician an asset
  • 5 – 7 years of proven electrical estimating / project management experience and/or credentials, in particular in quoting small Commercial/Residential projects
  • Proven sales skills in cold calling, giving presentations and selling intangibles, developing contacts and networks
  • Experience with Accubid software (Accubid Pro, Change Order)  an asset
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability effectively interact with the public and at all levels of the organization
  • Good organizational skills
  • Good computer skills including MS Office
  • Currently working in the Lower Mainland area with an established local network preferred
  • You have a 'can do' natural right attitude and are always willing to learn

This is a fulltime position

Salary is open, depending in experience
