Established, Privately Owned Construction Company | Commercial & Institutional Projects | Fraser Valley

Your new company
Our client is an established privately owned construction company that has been in operation for over 30 years. Most of the work they undertake is design build and negotiated with repeat clients. Most of the projects are commercial or institutional. They have built projects such as care facilities, health centers, retail developments and auto dealerships. Most of these projects are in the $5-20m range. Their focus geographically is quite broad in that they undertake work across the Lower Mainland and Fraser Valley but they also frequently build projects in remote locations such as the Yukon or Northern BC. The company President loves the challenge of remote work and they have developed an excellent reputation for work of this nature.

Your new role
The Project Coordinator will support a small team of Project Managers to ensure projects are well executed. The role will be based out of the company head office in Chilliwack, BC. We are looking for a detail oriented individual with excellent communication and administration skills. Responsibilities will include attending project meetings, tracking RFIs and change orders, distributing project correspondence and collating POs for PM approval. You will interact with projects at all stages of the project lifecycle and will contribute to overall project flow.

What you'll need to succeed
Candidates for consideration should have experience as Project Coordinator in a construction environment. We are flexible in terms of considering people at various levels of experience. You could be a Technical school grad with 1-2 years' experience or an experienced Coordinator with 10+ years. Attitude and personality are the most important factors. You must be organized, professional and humble in your approach. You must be a collaborative person that understands the construction lifecycle and enjoys working in a collaborative, team oriented environment.
