As the Program Manager, China, you will be the central point of contact for the Arc'teryx China Brand Team on the Global Brand Team in Vancouver. You will help to manage the calendar & planning strategy which enables the regional Brand Team based in Shanghai to execute and regionalize the global brand strategy.You will help to manage the ongoing needs of the China Brand Team for marketing projects from brief to consumer delivery, leveraging and managing internal and external resources to get the right work done on time, to standard and on budget.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
    • Support the Senior Manager, Project Operations in the development and maintenance of Marketing PMO processes and champion best practices.
    • Deliver clear guidance to China Brand Team on the cross functional planning calendar and integrate them into key milestones to ensure China Brand Team needs are embedded into execution plans that deliver on their digital and retail needs.
    • Understands regional and global governance requirements and facilitates team interactions, leading the regular and ongoing collaboration between HQ and China teams throughout key planning processes - Marketing and Product (I2C)
    • Drive the creation and maintenance of list of asset requirements for China's online/offline channels, ensuring discrete deliverables are well characterized with associated timing, resources, quality parameters, interdependencies with HQ global delivery plans.
    • Monitor and manage project scope against an approved annual budget, ensuring accurate financial forecasts.
    • Ensures China Brand team's commitment to the deliverables and positioning outlined in product marketing briefs and negotiates the allocation of creative resources to the plans with global marketing project operations team.
    • Ensure plans are realistic in terms of time and resources required and that cost, time, and quality parameters are clearly outlined in the plans.
    • Where necessary you oversee production of creative campaign assets and support cross functional project management for projects specifically for the China market, leveraging either creative agency or the internal creative team.
    • Champion standardized templates and workflows and educate the China Brand Team as necessary. Work to evolve tools to be relevant to the China market.
    • Build and maintain solid relationships with key stakeholders across the organization - both in Shanghai and in Vancouver.
    • Maintain a clear prioritized list of projects, milestones, and action items. Ensure all stakeholders know and understand their role/responsibility, contribution, related timelines, and dependencies. Facilitate mutual and shared understanding between creative development and regional delivery needs.
    • Ensure the China Brand Team have a clear understanding of Seasonal Campaign objectives and expectations and how they ladder up to a longer term plan for the brand.
    • For project deliverables owned by you, steer projects from initial briefing to on-time delivery including scope of work, project plans, budget, scheduling, resource allocation, reviews, on-going status updates, quality assurance, delivery, and debriefing.
    • Work closely with project managers on the Marketing Operations team and internal creative team to ensure that projects delivering into a season are delivered on time, to scope and with the resources needed, and in determining creative services team day-to-day priorities. Manage obstacles and escalate when required.


Additional experience, education and/or skills:
    • 5+ years of Marketing Project Management experience
    • Previous experience in marketing coordination in the retail goods, advertising, PR, and/or Creative Services industry in China
    • Strong written and spoken English, including excellent presentation skills
    • Mandarin written and spoken fluency
    • Excellent ability to influence without direct control
    • Agency experience preferred; must be comfortable working with creative personalities
    • Experience managing digital design and UX projects
    • Advanced experience using project management software (Smartsheet or similar)
    • Relentless attention to detail; ability to prioritize tasks in order to meet deadlines
    • Advanced experience developing and producing retail projects
    • Strong skills in workflow organization and efficiency
    • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
    • Ability to plan and oversee work schedules and calendars across various production resources
    • Knowledge of graphic, video, and digital communications production
