Position Summary Job ID: 2285Program Analyst (Regular Full-Time)Burnaby (Metro Vancouver), BC Help improve the delivery & management of social housing & homelessness programs across the province
Bring your research and analysis expertise to this role supporting the BC Housing Commission's many projects and programs. You'll be working on the development of new programs, re-engineering existing ones, delivery strategies, policies and associated program resources then collaboratively dealing with all of our Branches to make sure programs and policies are successfully integrated.
Specifically, this will involve conducting research, analysis and evaluations of current programs and assessing whether program objectives are being achieved. You will also examine issues around program planning through cost/benefit analysis as well as economic and risk management, presenting complex reports addressing your findings and proposing solutions or modifications where needed. Maintaining cooperative relationships with Commission stakeholders will be crucial to your objectives, as will working seamlessly with various Branches to roll-out new programs, integrate new policies and processes and develop and deliver training when necessary. In the course of your work, you will be counted on to grow your knowledge of developments within the non-profit social housing sector, proposed legislative and regulatory changes and other factors that could potentially impact the Commission.
Along with a diploma or degree in social sciences, policy, business practices or a related field, you bring a thorough understanding of the principles, practices and techniques applied to planning and conducting complex, multi-dimensional planning projects and a keen interest in further developing your expertise and knowledge. You also have 3 years' experience in a directly related research or planning role with an emphasis on housing or public policy analysis program design or evaluation. Your conceptual, analytical and problem-solving abilities enable you to comprehend intricate, multifaceted issues and render them clearly and concisely in both a verbal and written style that is accessible to a wide range of stakeholders and a variety of individuals and groups with diverse educations, social and cultural backgrounds. Rounding out your profile is a good knowledge of government and community agency services and a dedication to teamwork.
