In this role, you will develop and prepare lessons; instruct, assess and grade student achievement in the Management discipline with a focus in labour relations and human resource management at the undergraduate and graduate levels in the Faculty of Management. Representative courses include:

  • MGMT 292 (Organizational Behaviour)
  • MGMT 293 (Human Resource Management)
  • MGMT 396 (International Human Resource Management)
  • MGMT 485 (Labour and Employee Relations)
  • MBA 500 (The Effective Manager)
  • MBA 506 (Research Methods and Consulting Skills)
  • MBA 540 (International Human Resource Management)

Candidates must demonstrate commitment to teaching, learning and student success through scholarship and institutional service. Successful candidates will participate in a wide range of activities outside the classroom, including student support; institutional, faculty and departmental committee meetings and other initiatives; and professional activities in keeping with their disciplines in and outside the institution.

 

Required Qualifications: 

  • A doctoral degree (or ABD) in the field of Management with a focus supportive of the noted instructional areas from an appropriately accredited institution; requisite recent experience and expertise in teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses in the noted subject areas; relevant applied professional business experience; and a record of engaging in scholarly activity.
  • The successful candidate will have a strong focus on teaching and student learning, demonstrated competency working effectively in a team-oriented environment and will be responsive to diverse learning styles, cultural and academic backgrounds.
  • Proficiency in the use of MS Office and Course Management Programs.
