Positon: Production Manager

Position Summary:

This position reports to the President & CEO and provides leadership and direction to the Production Department, which encompasses production administration and manufacturing functions. Areas of focus are manufacturing efficiency, cost effectiveness, quality, customer satisfaction / service, and sustainable growth. The position requires a balance of tactical hands-on management and strategic planning. Ongoing collaboration with the Business Manager is essential to ensure alignment to, and achievement of, short and long-term company goals.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Coordination and oversight of product manufacture through pre-production and design to shipping
  • Recruitment, training / development, and performance management of Production staff
  • Dynamically adjust resourcing strategies to best manage seasonal and periodic load fluctuations, using a combination of full time, part time, and external resources
  • Supply chain management, encompassing supplier relations, purchasing, and inventory reporting.
  • Produce, actively manage, and effectively communicate production and shipping schedules.
  • Provide expertise and technical support to the Sales/Marketing teams
  • Ongoing collaboration with the Business Manager and President & CEO
  • Continually improve quality, production flow, and facilities while reducing non-conformances
  • Providing a safe and respectful working environment
  • Achievement of key company objectives


  • Minimum Grade 12 diploma
  • 3-5 years supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Solid working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of software
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in manufacturing / trades environment
  • ACAD or SolidWorks experience will be asset
  • Trades qualification an asset
