ABOUT THE ROLE
As a member of Transoft’s marketing organization, Product Marketers play a vital role within Transoft’s business units and liaise with Product Management, Marketing, and Sales to create compelling content and messaging that positions our products for success. Product Marketers know the market exceptionally well and understand how Transoft’s customers think, where they are, and what value they seek from our specialized transportation engineering software. This is a newly created role and will be a fun and exciting position for someone that welcomes the challenge of rolling up their sleeves and getting things done. Could that be you?
Strategy & Planning
Plan and coordinate all aspects of global go-to-market plans, liaising with Product Management, Marcom, and Regional Marketing and Sales teams.
Develop product positioning and core messaging that resonates with a highly technical audience consisting of engineers, architects, planners and CAD technicians.
Masterminding and steering compelling marketing campaigns and promotions to drive sales.
Communicate product feedback to Product Management to assist with development.
Develop customer-facing collaterals including case studies, webinar content, and data sheets to showcase each product’s unique value proposition.
Develop lead generation sales collaterals such as white papers, presentations, and videos.
Provide Sales support and education resources including playbooks, data sheets, sell scripts and target personas.
Write effective product copy for websites, email campaigns and landing pages.
Provide content expertise in support of regional marketing to assist with lead generation.
Research & Intelligence
Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and gather industry trends to become an expert in buyers and buyer criteria.
Identify and nurture relationships with key influencers to create targeted campaigns, collaterals and product review programs.
Monitor and report on marketing campaign ROI and effectiveness.
Manage win/loss analysis programs and share findings.
Evangelism & Influence
Act as product champions, actively evangelizing products through frequent social media posts via LinkedIn, Twitter and Facebook, and by authoring blog posts.
Develop strong relationships with key industry influencers such as media and bloggers to help uphold Transoft’s position as the leading provider of specialty software for transportation professionals.
Manage internal communications to ensure key stakeholders are aware of marketing programs goals, plans, and outcomes.
You are a storyteller, exceptionally good at connecting dots to identify what resonates with prospects and customers, and you have the communications know-how to translate technical content into messaging that sells, mindful of a highly critical technical audience that is marketing-averse.
You are a true self-starter in every sense of the word with energy in spades! You obsess over details but are quick to recognize what’s important and move on. You push for quality in all that you do and never settle for ‘good enough.’
You are an exceptional communicator both on and off paper, and are able to seamlessly translate technical content up or down, depending on the audience.
Experience and Qualifications
Bachelors or Diploma in Marketing, Business, Technical Writing or equivalent required. Bonus points for candidates with engineering or CAD experience. MBA a plus.
5+ years of product marketing experience within a B2B environment is preferred. Software marketing experience is an asset. Pragmatic Marketing certification is a bonus.
2+ years experience working with CRM and Marketing Automation software.
Experience using Google Adwords and Google Analytics is essential.
Experience with project management, productivity or GTD solutions such as Asana, Wrike, Basecamp.
Proven experience with social media tools such as LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter.
Proven experience launching new-to-the-world products.
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required. Command of the English language is a must. Writing samples will be requested.
Exceptional skills at planning, organizing, implementing and communicating integrated marketing plans across business lines and departments.
Proven ability to manage and implement marketing plans that align with product lifecycles.
Able to work in an international and matrix environment.
Must be able to juggle multiple projects with the ability to prioritize and work well under pressure within a team setting.
High energy with the capability to flourish in a dynamic, growing organization.
Ability to travel globally may be required from time to time.
