The Product Marketing Team is the link between Product Line Management, Retail and Digital channels and Marketing. In this China-focused role, you will manage the development and implementation of our product marketing strategy for China. You will also be responsible for ensuring local activations adhere to our global brand strategy while also being locally relevant.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
    • Build a multi-year product marketing strategy to win in China while aligning with our global strategy, working in collaboration with both the China team and global operations leads at HQ, prioritizing efforts in line with resources
    • Translate technical product information into compelling messaging that differentiates Arc'teryx product in the market and ensure it is consistent across every touch point.
    • Work to define a 'right sized' seasonal marketing toolkit that supports Chinese channel strategies
    • Serve as the hub and collaborative partner to the Product, Commercial, Merchandising and Marketing teams with respect to seasonal product initiatives for China
    • Work alongside Product Merchandising and Creative teams toensure outfitting and visuals accurately represent intended use.
    • Build strong relationships with the China retail and brand teams to understand regional requirements around product marketing initiatives
    • Ensure execution of product positioning and creative aligns with our global strategy
    • Regularly share Chinese consumer and market insights with the global team
    • Manage the flow of relevant and necessary information between HQ and the China team in regard to any changes, issues, developments and/or successes related to the execution and delivery of product marketing campaigns
    • Brief all China product marketing initiatives to the HQ global creative team
    • Build and track product marketing campaigns against KPIs to better inform future campaigns
    • Partner with the Product Line Manager, China, to ensure strategy alignment across both product and marketing in China
    • Manage communications between the Product Marketing Team in Vancouver and the Brand Team in Shanghai.
    • Participate and present in all key I2C stage gate meetings and global commercial meetings
    • Attend and support all key product launch events


Additional experience, education and/or skills required
    • 8+ years progressive marketing experience, preferably in product or retail marketing
    • International experience, specifically within China
    • Mandarin written and spoken fluency
    • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
    • Confidence delivering coherent plans and implementing infrastructure to meet challenging objectives
    • Flexible and resilient to shifting priorities with the ability to adapt and move on quickly
    • Strong retail marketing knowledge andunderstanding of the outdoor industry
    • Strong conceptual thinker
    • Strong leader, peer influencer and presenter
    • Good business judgment with an outside/in perspective
    • Results oriented individual able to meet tough deadlines in a project management role
    • Exceptional oral/written communication and presentation skills
    • Experience working and leading projects in a multi-cultural and multi-function (product, sales and marketing) environment
    • Strong process-driven abilities and a passion for marketing
    • You can travel frequently between and within Canada and China
