Printing Operator/Production Worker
Salary: $16-17/ hour
Industry: Print and Plastics
Do you have experience working in the printing industry and operating a press and wish to advance in your career?
Are you looking for a company that rewards quickly for hard work!
Join a long-tenured crew, be well taken care of, both in wage and benefits, and work on projects for some of the biggest and most recognizable brands in the country.
This company is not afraid to help develop its people. Potential exists to move into a supervisory track, expand your knowledge to other types of equipment/presses, and of course, move up the wage scale as quickly as your skills can get you there.
A long-time, well established employer in the Lower Mainland, this group occupies a niche that makes them extremely resistant to economic downturns. They’re actually expanding the array of equipment in the plant, and want to bring people aboard who will work hard to make that continued growth possible. A non-union shop, they believe in awarding based on performance over seniority, skill over process. It’s somewhere that you’re able to get ahead if you’ve got the right drive.
This role will principally be responsible for the operation and minor maintenance of an industrial sized flexographic press machine. Ensuring production is met through operation and upkeep of the machinery, managing the colors and product flow, and overall hitting of production goals.
1-2 years’ experience printing press experience
Experience in working with plastics would be an asset
Ability to work a rotating shift
Own transportation (transit inaccessible)
Ability to follow directions and ability to learn new concepts quickly
Strong work ethic
