About the Opportunity

Currently, Orion Construction is seeking a highly motivated Pre-Construction Coordinator to join our team in Surrey, BC on a full-time basis.

As our new Pre-Construction Coordinator, your primary responsibilities will see you coordinating consultants and liaising with municipalities. 

While no two days will be alike in this fast-paced role, your more typical responsibilities will include:

  • Working with multiple and varying stakeholders to establish general requirements. 
  • Consulting with clients, architects, subcontractors, and material suppliers to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve any issues that may arise. 
  • Assisting the team in planning procedures for construction on the basis of starting and completion times.
  • Reviewing plans and specifications as part of the pre-construction process in order to establish constructability issues. 
  • Attending site walkthroughs and visiting the site thereafter as required. 
  • Performing clerical and tracking functions of projects and managing heavy email communications. 
  • Ensuring all documents get distributed to the appropriate end-users.

In order to qualify for this role, you will need at least 3 years of experience in a similar role along with previous construction and municipality experience. The ability to read and understand architectural drawings is also required as is familiarity with software such as Timberline, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office.

Utilizing your aptitude for stakeholder management and your strong organizational skills you'll work diligently towards competing deadlines.
