Role Overview

Reporting to the Senior Specialist, Business Systems, the Power Platform Functional Analyst focuses on delivering reliable and user-friendly applications using Microsoft Power Platform, Power BI, and Copilot capabilities. This role supports the development, maintenance, and improvement of low-code solutions across the Projects group.

As a hands-on contributor, the Analyst works closely with business users and technical teams to solve issues, implement improvements, and ensure solutions are deployed in accordance with lifecycle methodology, governance standards, and business requirements. Key Responsibilities

  • Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
  • Develop and maintain Power Platform solutions (Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse) to support business operations
  • Build and enhance Power BI dashboards and reports to improve data visibility and decision-making
  • Support integration of Microsoft Copilot to improve user experience and automate routine tasks
  • Identify and fix application issues in test and production environments, escalating as needed
  • Ensure all production changes follow lifecycle methodology, version control, testing protocols, and risk guidelines
  • Collaborate with business users to capture requirements, map processes, and find opportunities for automation
  • Document solution designs, changes, and configurations to maintain system integrity and traceability
  • Participating in project needs assessments and contributes to technical solution design and analysis
  • Support end-user adoption through training, documentation, and ongoing engagement
  • Contribute to Power Platform governance and CoE practices, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards
  • Maintain awareness of platform updates and guidelines, applying them to improve solution quality and performance

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field
  • 1-2 years of experience in low-code development, including Power Platform and Power BI
  • Familiarity with Power Platform CoE, governance, and lifecycle management
  • Experience with Microsoft Copilot, AI Builder, and natural language interfaces is an asset
  • Understanding of Azure DevOps, agile methodologies, and ALM practices
  • Good communication and collaboration skills, with a focus on partner engagement
  • Experience with process mapping tools (e.g., Visio) and business process redesign
  • Proficiency in Spanish considered a strong asset

Pay Range: CAD $83,000 - $103,000 per year

The actual amount offered is determined based on the successful candidate's relevant experience, skills, and competencies and considers internal equity.
