We are currently looking for entry-level or experienced security officers to join our team in a part-time capacity at one of our high profile sites in Powell River. We offer extensive training, comprehensive benefits, rewards and recognition, and many opportunities for promotion from within.
Job Skills / Requirements
• One year of experience in a security and/or customer service is an asset • Must be bondable and able to pass a security clearance. • Minimum 19 years old and meet all other minimum requirements for a security license in BC. • Must possess a High School Diploma. • Write comprehensive reports and maintain proper records using effective communication skills. • Ability to detect problems and report information to appropriate personnel. • Have basic knowledge of security procedures, handling violent behaviors, and non-defensive communication. • Availability to work weekends, minimum of 25 hours per week and flexibility to pick up/provide coverage when needed • Willingness to consent to a training commitment contract of 6 months of full-time or 9 months of part-time work and attend 5 days of pre-employment training at our Head Office in Burnaby. • Job requires the ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time.
