We have a Relief Part Time
opportunity for a Porter/Nurse Care Attendant
to join our team in the General Rehab department at Ridge Meadows Hospital
located in Maple Ridge, BC.Build on your education and experience as you:
•Transport patients by wheelchair, stretcher or bed to and from various departments in the Hospital. •Deliver and pick up items as required for nursing units, such as specimens to the laboratory. •Clean equipment used in transport such as I.V. poles, suctions, stretchers and wheelchairs; change linen and report maintenance requirements for equipment. •Respond to telephone and paging systems for requests for transportation of patients, related equipment and supplies. •Assist patients with personal care including bathing, shaving, dressing, making beds and other related activities; delivers meal trays and assists with feeding. •Perform nursing procedures such as vital signs; obtains specimens such as urine samples; records observations and reports findings to the appropriate staff. To join the organization we require you to have:
•Grade 10 •Graduation from a recognized Nursing Assistant Program
•Valid CPR Level "C" certificate.
