The Health Human Resources and Labour Relations (HHRLR) Division at the Ministry of Health is responsible for a strategic and integrated approach to planning, analysis and management, professional regulation, education, recruitment and retention of the health sector workforce in support of the Ministry's broader strategic direction for the health system.
The Workforce Planning and Development Branch within HHRLR is responsible for strategies for the preparation, optimization and ongoing support and development of the health workforce in order to more effectively meet health system and population health needs and improve patient health outcomes.The Role:
This position will coordinate and lead the research, analysis, development and implementation of strategic policies, programs and legislation related to planning for the health workforce.

*Recent (within the last 5 years) related work experience must include:
- Degree in public administration, social sciences, business or related field, and 3 years of recent related experience* OR
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Preference may be given to candidates with:
- Experience in the development of policy.
- Experience in planning and coordinating complex projects/assignments.
- Experience in concisely and persuasively writing a range of documents/content.

- Workforce planning, labour market analysis or labour market program development experience.
- Experience in the health sector.
