The UBC Department of Pediatrics and BCCH are seeking a Pediatric Rheumatologist.

The pediatric rheumatology team in BCCH is well-recognized nationally and internationally for excellence in clinical care, clinical teaching and research. The team includes 7 physicians, clinical nurse specialists, occupational and physical therapists, and a social worker, as well as a clinical and translational research team. The vision of the division is to provide outstanding care for children and youth with rheumatic diseases in BC through collaborative team care, and to maintain clinical excellence with an integration of clinical care with clinical and basic science research, and the education of future health care providers. Our team provides care to children from across the province of BC, including a strong outreach clinical program.

Applicants will have completed a subspecialty residency-training program in Pediatric Rheumatology, accredited by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC) or equivalent. The ideal applicant will have additional expertise, experience and interest in clinical research in rheumatology, with a defined area of interest that complements current divisional research. Applicants must be committed to participating in our pediatric rheumatology outreach program and taking a lead in program organization for an outreach program with increasing clinical need. Applicants must be eligible for a specialist license, as determined by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia. Salary and UBC rank will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.

The anticipated start date for the position will be March 1, 2024.
